EXCLUSIVE : Gotham and The O.C. Actor Ben McKenzie has directed his first feature-length documentary. Everybody Is Misleading You for Cash , a harsh depiction of the cryptocurrency realm, set to have its global debut at SXSW London in June.

The movie features an interview with Sam Bankman-Fried, recorded shortly before he faced indictment on various fraud and conspiracy charges. McKenze, who has just finished up her role in an action movie, Motor City , stated: “Back in autumn 2021, when I began alerting people about cryptocurrency scams, I faced considerable backlash from some individuals online. Fast forward to today, many of those same critics are now behind bars, yet tragically, millions of investors have fallen victim and lost everything to these criminals. The pressing query remains—why does misinformation surrounding cryptocurrencies continue to circulate? This was the central issue I aimed to address through this documentary. I am eagerly anticipating audience reactions once they get to watch it.” Everybody Is Misleading You for Cash , a comedy that gives both cryptocurrency and those promoting it the level of respect they deserve: none at all."
