Pat McAfee Makes His Explosive Return to the WWE Ring at Backlash

Pat McAfee is officially set to make his comeback in the ring and will do so at WWE Backlash against an extremely formidable opponent.

During Tonight’s WWE RAW show McAfee talked to the audience regarding Gunther's assault on him from the previous week. Perched atop the announcer's table alongside Cole, McAfee reminisced about his beginnings and the journey of his life. He discussed the theme of loyalty before mentioning that throughout his ascent in the wrestling industry, Michael Cole had been someone significant to him.

He mentioned that because of this, he would consistently remain loyal to Cole. If someone like Gunther McAfee mentioned it was only fair for him to help since someone tried to attack him. Considering this, he called for Nick Aldis (serving as General Manager that night) to make an appearance. When Aldis emerged, McAfee requested that he cancel Gunther’s suspension so they could have their match.

Aldis stated that he wouldn't be involved in that scenario for everyone's benefit. Nevertheless, the best course of action for business purposes would be to allow them to settle things inside the ring. Consequently, Aldis proposed that McAfee face Gunther in a match. WWE Backlash , which McAfee agreed to.
