SENTRI Users: Update Your Information Now!
LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) — The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is urging motorists with newly issued Mexican license plates to update their details.
The organization indicates that modifications can be done via the Trusted Traveler program, with alterations submitted either online or in person at the Juarez-Lincoln International Bridge.
Moreover, users need to know that lacking current information will prevent them from using the SENTRI lane, and failing to comply could result in penalties.
As per Rick Pauza from CBP, “Using the Bridge One SENTRI lane without updating your license plates could lead to the confiscation of your SENTRI card. Additionally, this will result in increased delays and further complications for travelers.”
CBP emphasized that it is crucial to update your details since the state of Tamaulipas has recently issued new license plates, which the system cannot identify until an update is made.
